Adaptive Cruise Control
Automatic distance regulation, using radar sensors to maintain the required distance between vehicles ahead by braking and accelerating. On S tronic models it includes Stop&Go function which brakes the car to a stop and can restart automatically again (subject to certain system limits) . Approximate control range for manual transmissions (20-100mph) and for S tronic transmissions (0-100mph)
Active Lane Assist
Detects lane boundary markings and helps the driver to stay in lane with gentle steering intervention for greater safety and convenience, particularly on motorways. Works at speeds above approximately 40mph
High-beam assist
Detects the headlights of oncoming traffic, the rear lights of other road users and light sources in built-up areas. Depending on the traffic situation, the high-beam automatically adjusts to dipped beam and vice versa. The system improves the driver's visibility and brings added comfort and convenience
Pre-sense Front with pedestrian recognition
The system uses radar sensors to detect vehicles and pedestrians in front. If an imminent collision is detected, the system warns the driver. The system may initiate emergency braking application (within system limits) and can also increase braking initiated by the driver( if this is inadequate) in order to reduce the severity of the collision or if possible prevent an accident. Works at speeds of up to approximately 40mph.
Camera-based traffic sign recognition (if MMI Navigation Plus is fitted)
Speed limit and traffic sign display via the Driver's Information System (DIS). Detects the following signs: speed limits (including temporary limits) and overtaking restrictions. (Only available when MMI Navigation Plus is ordered)
Audi Parking System Plus
Acoustic and visual park assist system for the front and rear with MMI screen display showing the calculated path (steer-angle dependent) including guidelines. Measurement is by ultrasonic sensors concealed in the bumper
